A18-year-old Portpatrick musician is taking strides in the industry after signing a deal with Toy Town Records.
The potential of Portpatrick’s Lewis Schofield (Scope) was spotted by his singing teacher and soon he put pen to paper after several meetings with the label, and an album by album deal was signed.
Lewis said: “I was quite overwhelmed really as this opportunity is huge for me to take my music to the next stage and develop all aspects of being an artist from performing to developing my writing techniques.
“It’s really exciting stuff.”
Gordon McNeil, CEO of Toy Town Records, said: “I watched some of Scope’s videos and I couldn’t believe what I saw. You know it’s him when you hear it!”
Lewis’s debut single is due out soon and his debut album will follow next year.
