Police in Kirkcudbright drug bust

POLICE in the Stewartry executed search warrants at two addresses in the Kirkcudbright area on last Friday.

During these searches, supply amounts of cannabis were recovered with a street value of approximately £7000.

As a result of these separate recoveries, a male aged 27 years from one address and a male and female aged 27 and 29 years respectively from the second address will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal, Kirkcudbright for drug supply offences.

Detective Constable Ross Milligan of Castle Douglas Crime Management Services said: “I would encourage the local community within the Stewartry to continue to assist police by providing any information in relation to those who use and supply controlled drugs.

Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary is very much committed to vigorously tackling this problem head on and cannot achieve this without the help of the public.”
