The annual exhibition of the Royal Photographic Society (Scottish Region) is now on show at the Tolbooth Arts Centre, Kirkcudbright.
This is a chance to see some of the best in Scottish contemporary photography.
The society was founded in 1853 to promote the art and science of photography.
The 2012 exhibition comprises 40 black and white, sepia and colour prints. Subjects include landscapes, portraits and natural history.
The exhibition runs until Thursday, November 15. The Tolbooth Arts Centre is open Monday to Saturday, from 11am until 4pm. Admission is free.
