Penninghame Primary School held a fete with a difference on Saturday.

The Newton Stewart school is celebrating its 50th year at the Auchendoon Road site and the fete was just one of a string of celebrations taking place to honour the anniversary.

Last week, we showcased the school conert which brought some of the oldest and newest pupils from over the years back to the school. A committeed team of volunteers has been busy gathering information, memories, anecdotes and paraphernalia for the events which have been hugely supported.

Saturday’s fete was also well attended and parents, pupils, friends, staff and members of the public turned out to join in.
