Messrs Craig Wilson Ltd sold 266 Store Cattle at the March Sale at Newton Stewart, with grazing types still easy sold, however short keep cattle were slightly harder to cash. Topping the sale today was Margot McBurney, South Clutag, of a heavy weight Simmental Bullock which fetched £1170. Topping pence per kilo for steers was 277.6p k/g for a pen of Charolais off Messrs D & W Bowman, Bagbie. Heifers peaked at £1010 for a Charolais off Henry Bros, Viewhills or 265.5p k/g for Charolais off Messrs Bowman, Bagbie.
