The internationally famous Red Stripe Band will be making a welcome return to Kirkcudbright on July 26.

They will be appearing at 7.30pm at the Parish Church Hall. Red Stripe have played at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival and are appearing at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival this month.

The Rotary Club of Kirkcudbright is pleased to be sponsoring the band’s appearance, which will help to raise funds towards the final elimination from this world of the scourge of polio. This mammoth task is now in its final stages, having been financed by over £500 million from Rotary worldwide.

So come along for an evening of enjoyable lively music. Tickets for the event can be obtained from Thomson’s Newsagent or Halliday’s Hairdresser priced at £10 or £12 with a glass of wine.
