Mull of Galloway Festival taking shape

The three-day Mull of Galloway Festival is taking shape with the promise of a musical extravaganza.

The Festival takes place 8th, 9th and 10th August with a musical afternoon planned for Sunday 10th August. The line-up is varied with some

local artists performing and the free music event will be compered by Ali Donowho from Alive Radio with seating for over 100 guests as well as further space outside the marquee for a picnic on the lawn!.

The Sunday event kicks off at 12.45pm with Life O Reilly, followed by Danielle Glover, Lucy Miller, Zoe Bestel and the for grand finale is the Loch Ryan Pipe Band. Zoe Bestel will be signing and selling her brand new CD during the day “Sir Lucas and the Moon”.

During the Festival weekend there will be guided walks, talks, craft stalls and lots more activities for the whole family to enjoy. Climb the Lighthouse and visit the exhibition for free throughout the weekend.

The RSPB will be offering activities from treasure hunts to tombola over the three days of the festival. Each day there will be guided walks or demonstrations to help you to find out more about the wonderful wildlife that makes its home on the Mull.

Gallie Craig have a “Pop up Café” at the Lighthouse and will be serving drinks and snacks throughout the Festival weekend. There will also be the regular menu available from the Gallie Craig as well as a take away menu.
