MP calls for power supply meeting

FOLLOWING a string of power cuts across Galloway recently, MP Russell Brown is calling for a meeting with Scottish Power to discuss the continuing power supply problems.

Residents in Portpatrick, Kirkcolm, Lochans and Garlieston have contacted the MP expressing their concern about persistent cuts and say they are yet to discover what the cause of the power cuts is.

He said: “Local people have been plagued by these power cuts for far too long. It’s obviously not an issue with the weather because it’s been happening persistently for months now. Local people are understandably sick to the back teeth of their power supply being so unreliable and it’s time it was sorted. I’m hoping to meet with Scottish Power as soon as possible to get a resolution to this once and for all.”
