Lupo finds home in Galloway

A BEAUTIFUL Grey Wolf. 12-year old Lupo, has found his retirement home at Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park in Kirkcudbright.

Lupo was no longer able to fully participate in the wolf pack at The Scottish Deer Centre, Fife, but is now happily settled in his new home.

Originally one of the world’s most widely disturbed wild mammals, Grey Wolves have been exterminated by humans across much of their lives, due to an exaggerated view of their potential ferocity.

Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park made an appela at the tail-end of last year for donations towards funding and have managed to raise around £10,000 towards feeding, heating and general maintenance of the enclosures as well as staff costs for looking after the animals.

They still aim to double this to ensure the ongoing operation of the park. If you can help, visit http://gallowaywildlife.co.uk/index.php and follow the links.
