Youth put under curfew

A RESTRICTION order was placed on a 16-year-old youth this week keeping him indoors between 7pm and 7am.

Liam Allison, of 18B Dalrymple Street, Stranraer, admitted in court assaulting a man and spitting in the face of a female community warden at the Breastworks car park in the town on October 6.

He also admitted punching a police officer, spitting at a police officer, making sectarian remarks and resisting arrest.

Sheriff Kenneth Robb said his options were limited to either prison or a restriction of liberty order, and that he would give Allison a chance to stay out of custody by imposing a nine-month order on him.
