Some of the events as part of Wigtown’s Whisky, Words and Wisdom Festival will take place in new venues following the marketing of Bladnoch Distillery for sale.
It had been hoped that the whisky-themed events could still be held at the site, but festival organisers felt it would be best to arrange other venues.
Now the ceilidh, Tom Morton, and the Wrigley Sisters will be moved to the County Buildings. Dorie Wilkie will now be talking about The Great Tapestry at the Baptist Church, Wigtown, Gavin Smith’s Let’s Talk About Whisky at The Bookshop and the Whisky, Food and Tourism event at The Bladnoch Inn.
There are plans for the photographic exhibition ‘Landscapes’ by Stranraer and Stewartry Camera Clubs to be held as a photo trail through a number of Wigtown’s bookshops.
