Warning as pilot has laser shone into plane

A PILOT has reported that a laser pen was shone into his plane as he flew over Castle Douglas.

Police have hit out at the use of the dangerous lasers after the incident, in which the pilot was flying at aroun 8000ft over the Stewartry town on Thursday at around 8.10pm.

A spokesman said: “Behaviour such as this is reckless and could be potentially dangerous. Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour on the A745 near this area around this time is asked to contact police.”
