Unidentified object discovered on street

Any idea what this is?

Any idea what this is?

WE’RE looking for readers’ help in identifying an unusual object found in Newton Stewart.

A dog walker came across a bullet-shaped metal item, which fits in a palm, at the bottom of the road down to Riverside Industrial Estate last week and assumed it belonged to stonemason John McKenzie, who moved into the yard recently.

However, John’s team drew a blank and said it was nothing they would use. The dog walker, concerned a lorry could flip the item up in passing and injure someone, picked it up and is now asking for your help to pin down its origins.
