A RESPITE unit inNewton Stewart has been praised by Scotland’s social care watchdog after it received top grades at two consecutive inspections.
Station Brae Respite Unit received grades in the ‘excellent’ category across the board after an unannounced inspection completed in March.
A spokesman for the Care Inspectorate said: “This is a specialised service where high standards have been maintained.
“Service users and their relatives confirm their satisfaction with the quality of care and support they receive and the very positive outcomes that they experience.
“The vast majority of care services in Scotland perform well, and where we encounter excellent services, it is vital we share good practice so that all care services in Scotland continue to improve and reach the high standards we expect.”
