Police renew appeal for death information

POLICE investigating the suspicious death of a Newton Stewart woman have re-affirmed their appeal for information.

Wendy Kelly, aged 32, a mother of three, died after being found unconscious at 2 Hillview Terrace, Newton Stewart, on May 17 this year.

Post mortem findings have attributed her death to a head injury.

Detective Inspector Mark Hollis, leading the investigation into the death, thanked the public for their assistance so far.

He added, "This has been a slow moving inquiry but with the support of the Newton Stewart community we have been able to build an accurate picture of Miss Kelly's lifestyle and movements prior to her death, and we are exceptionally grateful for that.

"We are determined on behalf of Wendy's family to establish the circumstances of her death, and I cannot emphasise enough the role the information provided by the public has to play in that."

Anyone who has information which may assist the inquiry can contact police on 08456005701, or provide information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
