Police ask for help
POLICE are seeking witnesses to any of the following incidents.
Newton Stewart – attempted theft. Sometime overnight Thursday/Friday, February 9/10, a blue Proton Wira car was broken into in an attempt made to steal it while parked in Corvisel Road in Newton Stewart.
At around 5.20pm on Sunday, a black Vauxhall Vectra or Astra type car entered the petrol station at the Creebridge Garage in Newton Stewart and the occupant fuelled the car and left without paying for the fuel. It is thought that the driver of the car may have been female.
Stranraer – sometime overnight Wednesday/Thursday, February 8/9, garages and sheds in Belmont Road and Orchard Road were vandalised.
A Makita 12-volt battery crimper tool valued at about £500 has been stolen from a Scottish Energy Landrover which was parked overnight Wednesday/Thursday, February 8/9, in Leafield Rise.
