Open day at campus

Prospective students have the chance to find out more about University of the West of Scotland’s range of full- and part-time courses at its 2012 campus open days.

The open days begin at the Dumfries campus on Tuesday, October 2 (3-7pm). This is followed by the Hamilton campus on Thursday, October 4 (3-7pm), Paisley on Tuesday, October 9 (3-7pm) and Ayr on Thursday, October 25 (3-7pm).

The events give visitors the chance to discover why the university has a reputation for being an innovator, with prospective students having the opportunity to speak to staff about existing and new course developments, and to discover more about facilities at each campus and gain insight from current students.

Mhairi Black, university marketing manager – student recruitment, said: “The aim of these open days is to provide prospective students with information on the range of options at each campus, so they can make an informed choice about their future studies.”

The Student Awards Agency for Scotland will be available to provide advice on funding.

Visitors can drop in at any time during the open days. To find out more and to plan your visit go to www.uws.ac.uk/opendays or contact University Direct, the university’s information service, on 0800 027 1000 or email
uni-direct@uws.ac.uk.
