New hope for town’s holiday park

PLANS for an overhaul at Minnigaff’s Conifers Leisure Park could be in the pipeline after a new company bought the site.

Developer Rainheath bought the park from administrators last July after its original owners, Caledonian Holidays, went bust.

Planning permission had been granted for a two-stage development of the site, and now
Rainheath is seeking removal of a planning restriction preventing it from undertaking the two stages of development separately.

If plans proceed, 17 new units will be built on the site.
