Man freed from lorry

A LORRY driver was cut free from the wreckage of his cab after it ploughed into a house in Newton Stewart.

The driver failed to make it around the A75 roundabout at the town and came to a stop when it his articulated lorry slammed into a building on the A714 Wigtown road.

He was cut free at around 4.30am but the lorry caused traffic delays for most of the day.
