Man dies after being hit by train

POLICE have revealed very few details about a man who was killed by a train in Stranraer this week.

It is believed the body of the man fell under the train as it approached Stranraer station on Tuesday night.

The line between Girvan and Stranraer was closed while emergency services dealt with the accident, which happened at around 9pm.
