Man admits assault

A Kirkinner man who admitted assault and making sectarian remarks to another man and being in possession of a kitchen knife in the village’s Main Street will be sentenced on March 26.

Thirty-year-old Ronald Turner, of 57B Main Street, appeared from custody at Stranraer Sheriff Court to plead guilty to making sectarian remarks to Nathan Webster, punching him on the head and being in possession a kitchen knife and making threats to stab others at 11 Main Street, Kirkinner, last Sunday.
