Kirkcudbright pupils win quiz

The Rotary Club of Kirkcudbright was the sponsor for the local heat hosted recently at Gatehouse of Fleet Primary School of a quiz open to schools throughout Scotland’s Rotary Districts.

The heat was greatly enjoyed by the participating quiz teams from the primary schools in Auchencairn, Borgue, Gatehouse of Fleet, Kirkcudbright and Twynholm. The knowledge of the teams of four pupils from each school was tested in eight rounds over a wide range of topics.

The event was well supported by parents, teachers and members of the Rotary Club.

At the end of the competition, and after a welcome adjournment for refreshments, the president of the Kirkcudbright club, Roger Jones, presented the shield for this event to the winning team from Kirkcudbright Primary School.
