Halliday's on the move

HALLIDAY'S Hair Salons are the new owners of the former newsagents shop in Victoria Street, Newton Stewart, and plans are underway to move operations down from their Queen Street base by the autumn.

Last week The Galloway Gazette revealed that the property, owned by Kevin Dean, had been sold.

The salon's supremo, Maurice Halliday, who is based at the businesses headquarters in Kirkcudbright, said this week: "Yes, Hallidays Hair Salon is on the move. In October the Salon will relocate at 12, Victoria Street.

"Having had 10 successful years in Queen Street, the move will give clients that something extra".

"Salon Director Wayne Blackburn and his staff are gearing up in conjunction with Wella to bring glamour and style to Victoria Street. Look out for the "real party". "Wayne says the opportunity to bring style to the now vacant shop is a challenge he is up for. With parking close by and many quality shops in the surrounding area the move to 12 Victoria Street will enhance the image of style and fashion at Hallidays.

"The refurbishment will centre on client comfort, modern and bright, with highly trained stylist welcoming clients old and new. Giving clients space to relax and enjoy the Halliday "experience".

"The new retail area will have space to browse and stock home hair care products from the exclusive ranges.

"The spotlight will be on lifestyle, space and tranquil surroundings".
