Galloway great for meteor shower
HUNDREDS of people turned out to watch the Perseid meteors over night on Thursday from the UK's first Dark Sky Park.
The meteor shower was clearly visible in the sjy late in the night and those who made the journey to Galloway Forest Park were not disappointed.
Around 60 meteors an hour fell to the collective 'oohs' and 'ahhhs' of stargazers.
