Five generations gather for John’s 90th

FIVE generations of the one family gathered in the Bruch Hotel, Newton Stewart last Saturday to celebrate the 90th birthday of John Maxwell of Murray Place, Minnigaff.

The five generations were John, his son Alex, Alex’s daughter Elizabeth, her daughter Lauren and Lauren’s baby son Cayden.

John’s family consists of nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, five generations in all.

John did not want gifts for his birthday and instead informed guests they could make a donation, if they wished, to a local organisation of his choosing. The fantastic sum of £360 pounds was raised and John has decided to give this money to the Riverside Day Centre in Newton Stewart. John would like to take this opportunity to thank all family and friends for there generousity and also for a lovely party.
