Fire and Rescue Services are conducting an investigation into a fire in Castle Street, Stranraer on Saturday evening.

Two fire appliances from Stranraer and two from Newton Stewart attended the incident at around half past eight after fire was discovered in the ground floor office of a property there.

Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus brought the fire under control using two hose reel jets. Thermal imaging equipment and a short extension ladder were also used. The fire was confined to window frames and cavities of the ground floor and second floor offices. No-one was in the building at the time.
