Duo broke into offices

TWO men who broke in to the offices of a well-known scrap merchant in Stranraer with intent to steal appeared for sentencing at the sheriff court this week.

Alan Graham, 19, of 23 Broadview Avenue, Stranraer, and 35-year-old Michael Murphy, 48 Garrick Drive, Stranraer, admitting being in the offices of Kings Scrap Merchants in Station Street on April 30 with intent to steal.

Sheriff Kenneth Robb ordered Graham to complete a supervised community pay back order of six months to include 105 hours of unpaid work, commenting that 
he had been “led” into commiting the crime by Murphy, who was given a six months community pay back order to include 120 hours of unpiald work. Murphy was also orderedto pay compensation of £200.
