The walkers before they climbed Cairnsmore

A hardy bunch of folks from Garlieston, Wigtown, Newton Stewart and even Edinburgh recently trudged up Cairnsmore to raise money for Epilepsy Research.

The climb, which raised a total of £1270, was organised by Sonia Roddie, whose nine-year-old daughter Caitlin, right, suffers from the disease.

Sonia was joined by family and friends, pictured left, and even some holidaymakers from the Scottish capital who were holidaying in the area and heard about the charity climb.
