David McMillan from Stranraer has been re-appointed as chairman of Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) withPat McTaggart from Kirkcudbright appointed as vice chairman.
This is the second year David, an independent member of DGHP, will be chairman and the first year Pat, a tenant, has been vice-chair.
David said: “I am really pleased to have been re-appointed as Chairman of DGHP. I have enjoyed the last year, and we have had to make some difficult decisions, but I must say a big thank you to all the Board members for their support during the last 12 months.
“I would especially like to thank Billy Lockhart, who was Vice-Chairman last year, for all his hard work and continued support.
“I am very much looking forward to the year ahead and to working alongside Pat, who I know has the interests of DGHP tenants as her focus. I am confident we have the right Board in place and I look forward to taking the company forward in the next 12 months.”
Pat said: “I am absolutely over the moon at being elected Vice-Chairman. I am very keen to put tenants first and foremost and I am looking forward to working with David over the next 12 months. I’d like to thank everyone for their support.”
