Two charities in Dumfries and Galloway have secured more than £5000 in funding between them.
The money is from Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland.
Adults with Learning Difficulties Holiday Fund provides a one-week holiday for adults with learning difficulties who live in Wigtownshire. The award of £1400 means its fundraising target has now been reached for this year’s holiday.
ports Driving provides opportunities to participate in sports pony driving for people of all ages who have a disability, health problems or special needs. The award of £4000 will help with the costs of looking after three of the ponies.
Mary Craig OBE, chief executive of Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland, said: “We’re interested in hearing from other charities in the area that are working to make life better for people who are disadvantaged, and the next closing date for applications is July 15.”
