A great way to start 2014 is to enjoy an evening in the company of four Wigtownshire authors, each with a different style and approach to writing.
This Friday, January 24, Kriss Nichol, Patricia Comb and Renita Boyle will be joined by Galloway Gazette columnist Jayne Baldwin for an evening of readings at the Green Room in Stranraer’s Ryan Centre.
Kriss, poet and author of “In Desolate Corners Shadows Crouch”, will be talking about her novel and her new thriller “Monsoons and Marigolds”.
Jayne is a non-fiction writer who will be talking about the Glenkens murder and the last public hanging of a woman in Scotland, the subject of her new book “Mary Timney, the Road to the Gallows”.
To lighten the mood, Patricia will be reading from her successful romantic comedy “Cafe Paradise” and sharing some sneak previews of her new book.
Storyteller Renita will be reciting some of her beautiful poetry and sharing her knowledge of folk and fable.
The evening begins at 7.30pm. Pay at the door or book tickets through the box office on 01776 703535.
