THE new Lifeboat at Portpatrick, the John Buchanan Barr, will be proudly berthed in its new home over the next few months if plans for its move go to schedule.

The shiny new boat, which arrived in the Port last November, will be moved to the outer section of the harbour which will improve maneuverability for the boat in an emergency.
