LETTER: Thanks from Scottish Ballet to Galloway

Scottish Ballet would like to thank everyone in and around Stranraer, New Galloway, Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Carsluith for making us so welcome during our recent visit with Find Your Feet.

From the audiences and the many participants, to those who allowed us to set up temporary offices – whether it be for two hours or two days – thank you.

The enthusiastic response we received for our dance workshops and talks in schools and community venues, and our performances at the Ryan Centre in Stranraer and the Cochran Hall in Kirkcudbright, was greatly appreciated by every one of us. Thanks go to all the groups and leaders who performed with the dance students of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland at the Cochran Hall. It was terrific to be part of such a tremendous community event.

We delivered 35 events over the weekend and connected with 930 people, including Stranraer Academy, Belmont Primary, St Joseph’s Primary, Rehpad Primary, Sheuchan Primary, Park Primary, Castle Douglas High and Primary School, Belmont House Home, Merse House Nursing Home, participants in Carsluith, CatStrand, and of course the Ryan Centre, Stranraer and Cochran Hall, Kirckudbright. We also held open classes, delivered costume talks, Wee Mice parent and toddler sessions, behind the scenes insights and worked with some incredible individuals. We hope to be back soon!
