Men, women and children whose lives have been touched by cancer are being invited to play a key role in Cancer Research UK’s Relay For Life at Bladnoch Park, Wigtown.
The charity is calling on people who have survived the disease, and others who are currently undergoing treatment, to join the inspirational ‘Lap of Honour’ which marks the start of the overnight fundraising festival, before having a chance to relax and be the event’s special guests.
Teams of eight to 15 people take part in the event, which is being held at Bladnoch Park, Wigtown over the weekend of 6 and 7 July. Thirty four teams have signed up to take part and cancer survivors and carers are invited to lead the opening lap of this 24-hour event.
Team and participant registration will close on Friday 14 June. Survivors can register at www.cruk.org/relay or by telephoning 0871612602. For more information contact Anne Barclay on 07834 693 420 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
