Housebreaking inn Stranraer

Cash, including foreign currency and jewellery, including bracelets, earrings and a watch have been stolen in a break-in to a house in Cairnryan Road in Stranraer.

The break-in happened sometime between 1400 hours on Thursday 17 and 1400 hours on Monday 21 March.The value of the property stolen is expected to be over £1000.

Detective Constable Nicola Crosbie at Stranraer said: “This break-in happened while the occupier of the house was away from home and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the Cairnryan Road area to get in touch through 101 if they can help. We would ask again that if anyone does see or hear anything which they think is a bit unusual or even suspicious to give us a call at the time and allow us to check the matter out in good time.”
