Ward 14 at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and Annan Hospital remain closed today (Friday, December 9) due to a Gastroenteritis Outbreak.

Both Ward 14 and Annan Hospital remain closed to new admissions, transfers and routine visiting. A total of 12 patients on Ward 14 and two patients at Annan Hospital have symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting, clinically consistent with Norovirus/gastroenteritis infection. To avoid potential for further spread members of the public seeking to visit relatives and friends in this ward are advised not to travel whilst outbreak measures are ongoing.

If relatives are concerned about their loved ones, they should contact the ward or hospital for advice before visiting.
