Have your say over maternity services

Dumfries and Galloway Maternity Link, a dedicated group of local service users, healthcare professionals, and representatives of other agencies work with families during pregnancy and beyond, is launching next week.

The purpose of the group is to listen to, and speak for, people who use the region’s maternity services and to share this information with key services and to be involved in developing and improving care.

Joanna Wright, current chair of the group, said: “We are keen to ensure that everyone who wishes to contribute can and by developing new models of working for the group we are confident we will be able to involve families from across the region.”

Anyone who is interested is invited to go along and find out how they can help shape the future of the region’s maternity services. During launch week representatives will be at Play, Talk, Read roadshows onThursday 20 November at Minnigaff Golf Club, Newton Stewart and Friday 21 at the Millennium Centre, Stranraer.
