Food festival a mouth-watering success in Kirkcudbright

The Kirkcudbright Food Festival took place over the weekend in the town hall and Kirkpatrick’s Resturant.

It is estimated that around 1000 people visited the hall and sampled some of the best produce the area has to offer.

And on Sunday, ‘Four Chefs, One Venue, One Day’ had mouths watering as chefs Martin Avey of Del Amitri in Annan, Ian McAndrew of Blackaddie Country House Hotel, Sanquhar, masterchef Willie Pike MBE and double Michelin Star Chef Simon Rogan of L’Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria showed what they’re made of.

The event rounded off a jam-packed summer programme of events for the Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities committee.
