THE annual Kirkcudbright Medieval Fayre is set be as popular as ever when it comes to town tomorrow (Saturday).
Featuring members of the Sealed Knot re-enactment group, Fire and Sword, Swords of Dalriada, Beowolf and Medieval Clydesdale this year’s theme is Tudors and Stuarts. Among the armament displays and battles will be demonstrations of Tudor firearms (using blanks of course) and a piece on witchcraft.
Tony Bonning, organiser for the day on behalf of Kirkcudbright Festivities Committee said: “These were fierce and deadly times but the trained re-enactors are used to performing dangerous stunts safely. It will be a great day out for the family.
“We will also feature the popular Children’s Battle, a Tug of War as well as an array of music from local musicians and Medieval dancing.”
The Fayre starts at 11am and will run through until after 3.30pm.
