Falling in love with Galloway

WHEN it comes to romance, Galloway has it all … at least for one happy couple.

Ian and Anne Judd decided to celebrate their leap year wedding in the area after Anne went down on one knee in February to pop the question.

The newlyweds, who tied the knot on March 30, spent their honeymoon in Newton Stewart, having fallen in love with the town and its surrounding countryside – as well as each other.

The Judds, from Seaham in County Durham, have been visiting Galloway on a regular basis for more than four years, principally for the great mountain biking available in the region.

For their romantic honeymoon, they chose to stay at the Flowerbank guest house in Minnigaff, where they were treated to flowers, chocolates and champagne to help them celebrate their nuptials.

They were also treated to drinks on the house at the Cree Inn, the pub where they have become regulars during their many visits to Minnigaff and Newton Stewart.
