Duo head for Catstrand

The fabulous Ross Ainsle and Jarlath Henderson play the Catstrand, New Galloway, on October 10.

Ross (border pipes and whistles) and Jarlath (uillean pipes and whistles) will be accompanied by the extremely talented Ali Hutton on guitar.

Ross and Jarlath release their much anticipated new album, Air-Fix, on October 28.

Back together after a four-year break, Jarlath is a former BBC Young Musician Award winner, while Ross was BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominated.

The UK tour is to publicise release the long-awaited follow up to their debut album, the critically acclaimed, “Partner’s in Crime”.

Air-Fix was recorded in a live setting over a four-day run in Gorbals Sound Studios, Glasgow. The bass was added the week after, giving the album a definite “band sound”.

The boys are joined by their regular touring band, Ali Hutton, Duncan Lyall on bass, James MacIntosh on drums and Innes Watson on fiddle. They have also recruited Hamish Napier on keyboards and Jarlath’s sister Alana on vocals.
