A GLASWEGIAN who drove his vehicle into a car and mounted the pavement while drunk was banned from the roads for 27 months this week.
Ian Adams was with a group of friends at Portpatrick’s Fernhill Hotel late on August 25 this year when he was seen getting into his car and driving into a parked Mercedes.
He then drove off towards the A77 and was seen by a dog-walker to attempt a three-point turn, during which he mounted the pavement and caused her to jump out of the way.
The court heard that he was later arrested and taken to Stranraer Police Station where he failed to give a breath sample.
Sheriff Kenneth Robb also fined Adams £1350, payable at £450 a month.
