Last Monday, the primary 1-3 class from Drummore Primary visited the studio of Suzan Malcolm in Portpatrick as part of Spring Fling.

Suzan showed them some examples of her art before encouraging them to have a go at creating their own works of art. Each child had the opportunity to use watercolour paints to create ‘happy accidents’ and were told these can form the basis for wonderful, creative works of art if a person uses his or her imagination to see things within these abstract bursts of colour.

The children came away from the visit bursting with enthusiasm and joy. They were so eager to get back to school to continue the creative process and turn these colourful happy accidents into works of art.
