Cubs parade for Founders Day

Sunday 26th Feb''On Sunday, Cub Scouts from across Galloway gathered in Newton Stewart for the annual Founders Day celebrations. The day started with a parade to Penninghame St John's church to join the congregation at a service with the theme of 'Be Prepared' ' the motto of the Scout Association. Then the Cubs went to the Community Centre to play some games and have their lunch before heading to Kirroughtree Forest Park for the afternoon. There they were put through their paces on an orienteering course and had go at building dens in the forest.
