Creachmore Golf Club has made a donation of £2,951.86 to Stranraer ARC’s service-users’ Comforts Fund for the third time in as many years.
The Comfort Fund enables ARC service users to buy extras that are out-with the normal budget provided by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
This year the fund allowed two groups to join Scotland’s celebration of sport at the Commonwealth Games, taking in rhythmic gymnastics and wrestling. Service users have also bought a leather sofa bed for use in the sensory room, which doubles up as a private space where someone who is unwell can relax in comfort. The Comfort Fund has provided every service-user with their own set of headphones for use in the computer suite, and money has been set aside for parties at Christmas and further events next year.
All the service-users would like to thank Margaret-Ann and John McCulloch and all the members of the golf club for their generosity over the past three years.
