After being heavily involved in the massive effort to deal with the recent snow in the region, the council is now stepping up its road repairs programme.
The inspection of pot holed roads has been accelerated and councillor Patsy Gilroy, Chairman of the DGFirst Management Committee, said: “Following the recent severe winter weather the snow has now almost all disappeared. We know from experience that this means that there will be an increase in the number of potholes across our road network.
“Our repair crews are fully resourced and are continuing to carry out repair works on a priority basis.”
You can report any potholes to the council by phone on 030 33 33 3000 or online at www.dumgal.gov.uk.
