The Fishermen’s Mission is keen to trace anyone who may not have received the support available to them via this charity.
The Fishermen’s Mission offers support to all fishermen, either active or retired. Their widows and families are also included.
The nearest Mission Centre is in Troon but the area covered is from Greenock, down the Clyde coast and along the Solway coast of the Rhinns, Wigtownshire, the Stewartry and Annan.
A spokesman said: “We are happy to meet with anyone interested on Thursday 6th of June from 11am to 4pm at the R.N.L.I. building at Kirkcudbright. We can offer practical welfare, financial or emotional support. We work with other maritime charities and can help to obtain grants.
“Locally we have been lucky to have had an enormous amount of support through fundraising for our charity and this has been a terrific asset for our work.”
Drop in to find out more about the charity on the 6th. If you would rather go at an agreed appointment time, please phone 07827966023.
