A convoy system is to be put in place on the A75 between Castle Douglas and Newton Stewart later this month for resurfacing work.
Scotland Transerv are to complete £300,000 of resurfacing and roadmarking works on the A75 at Skyreburn between Castle Douglas and Newton Stewart.
The works are scheduled to run from Tuesday 31 May to Friday 10 June excluding weekends.
Over 1km of road will be resurfaced, and to ensure the safety of road users and roadworkers alike during these works, a convoy system will be in operation from 7am to 7pm each weekday.
Andy Fraser, operating company representative, Scotland TranServ said: “This essential maintenance scheme is vital to ensuring we prolong the lifespan of the road surface benefiting over 3000 road users using this section of the A75 each day. We have done everything we can to plan these works in order to minimise disruption.”
