A cheque for £7.584 was presented to Kirkcudbright Sea Cadets on Tuesday at the group’s unit on Castledykes Walk.
Every year the workforce of Castle MacLellan Foods, Kirkcudbright vote for a local charity which they wish to support and a case was put forward to the KAVLI TRUST who have been great supporters of local charities.
They have funded replacement of aged wooden windows with double glazed units; the installation of radiators throughout the unit; dinghy sailing tops for the cadets and VHF radios.
Presentation of the cheque was made by Elaine McConnell, General Manager and Alison McKie, HR Assistant of Castle MacLellan Foods to Lt(SCC) Tom Plummer RNR, Commanding Officer, T.S. John Paul Jones, Kirkcudbright Sea Cadet Corps in front of Cadets and parents.
