TO help celebrate 10 years of The Wickerman Festival 2011 (22-23 July) in style, we’re offering the chance to win a pair of weekend tickets in this Friday’s Galloway Gazette.

Taking place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 July at East Kirkcarswell Farm, Dundrennan, the 10th festival will feature 10 stages including the Summerisle Stage, Scooter Tent, The Acoustic Village, Axis Sound System Reggae Tent, Bass Camp, Greenman Inn, Headphone Arena, Ho Down Wendy House, Solus and for the first time the goNORTH Festival Tour Stage.

The festival is named after Robin Hardy’s cult 1973 horror film which was filmed on the land where the festival is held, and one of the highlights is the burning of a 40ft sculpture specially created by local craftsmen to create the most iconic image of the festival calendar.

Set in the heart of picturesque Scottish countryside, the festival site is well known for its unique atmosphere and friendly crowds, boasting an extraordinary range of non-musical activities for festival-goers to discover, from crazy golf, segway hire and grass sledging, to the headphone disco and wood-carving demonstrations.

Weekend tickets, including camping passes, are £90, while children 12 and under go free.
